I miss you, dear friend.

It's amazing, if not appalling, to know how some people can change, oh so drastically. How a really close friend of yours just continues to shut himself from the outside world, and chose to indulge in his own emotions in an unhealthy manner.

What I have learnt is not to bear past grudges, to forgive and forget. But it seems that while I'm indeed learning to be accepting, it is just getting more and more difficult to reach out to him.

People do change. That's really a fact.

But still, I am sad that he does not see the effort coming from me. Or maybe he pretended not to. I don't know. I am actually quite affected by this whole friendship issue. So much so that there were some occasions that I dreamt of talking to him.

All the past years of closely-knitted friendship, have those experience just seeped away? Those laughter and joy we shared? Surely they should not be eradicated.

At least they remain etched in my memory.

Till the day you return to me, I miss you, dear friend.

Workaholic? Not so...

I'm taking it quite easy for work now. Although I was told that I should approach 30 offices a day, recently it was hardly even 10 per day. Lol. Rather, I woke up quite late in the morning, sometimes even around noon time! Gosh.

However, to compensate for my slackness, I actually did try making phone calls directly to the bosses to tell them about my company services as well as to arrange for appointments. And so far, it's been pretty good. In fact, few of the appointments I attended were fixed merely through a phone call from Mr. Anson Ong. Haha.

So ya, having said that, I have 3 appointments to look forward to this week. 2 on Friday on 1 on Saturday. I can't believe I am actually having an appointment on Saturday, though I would very much to keep it free. But well, for the sake of probably closing the deal and hence garnering a boost in my income level, I am going for it. Doris exclaimed "YES! Of course!" immediately after I told her about the appointment on Saturday. Who would let go of a business?! That's a business-minded lady who had many years into the field, mind you.

On another note, I think I need to find new ways to earn more. This job I'm currently having is sales-related, so it's based solely on commission, and needs time and patience to see results. Though I'm giving tuition too, they are hardly enough to handle my petrol bills and miscellaneous food/entertainment fees. Haha. And to make things worse, my latest assignment at lim chu kang was postponed to this Sunday instead.

So you see, I need more of vitamin M! I don't think I can probably find another full-time job now, though my current job is very flexible in terms of timing. But well, I do hope to get a job with a steady stream of income at least. It's easy for Doris(my consultant) to say that we should be patient to see the results and that we should focus on the job. We actually need some income to get by the initial stages too, right?

However, though, I am quite confident of my company's products and services. Very professional indeed. For those of you who are still clueless what job I am doing now, I am actually in a company called VE Media which specialises in internet marketing and promotions. We are targeting at SMEs to market their businesses through websites and other features. Also doing accounting, book-keeping, brochures printing, etc. For more information, can check out my company's website at http://www.vemedia.net

And should you require my services, please feel free to call me directly. =)

And PLEASE don't get the wrong idea that I'm a hard-selling salesman. Cos I'm not. Hahaha.

Okok, more events coming up. Will update soon! =)

A leaf from my philosophy of work and adulthood..

Work so far has been great. Been learning a lot on IT stuff and communicating skills along the way. Wah. It is only when you start working that you realise that those thick sets of textbooks and lecture notes in those years of schooling can't get you any closer to the "university of society", where you actually get to learn about the working life, and that you truly experience reality.

Try calculating it. So you probably start studying around 5 years old. And graduate from university around 25 for instance, you only study for 20 years or so. (let's talk about the average student here, ceteris paribus) A greater portion of your life is dedicated to work! And now that the retirement age is raised, I think it is certainly going beyond 30 years of work. And that is provided you are earning enough to 'enjoy life' for the later years after those years of hard work.

Stepping into the workforce is an eye-opener. For instance, my job requires me to speak to bosses/CEOs/managers, etc directly. I think I'm slowly grasping the 'boss' language. Bosses have a distinct set of thinking and mentality that are easy to identify. This is what I would term the "Boss mentality".

It's funny. I don't know why I'm rushing to be an all-knowing adult when I used to have friends to tell me that I should enjoy my youth. I guess it's partly also because I wasted quite some time previously, having retained a year in JC already, and also not working for nearly a year after NS. Gosh. Saying all these really made me feel a bit ashamed of myself.

But well, I'm a man after all. No time for regrets or whatever, cos I believe that I have to cherish the present and look forward to the future. So, am really looking forward to be a better man!

Financially wise, I am still trying to START saving up funds.. which is obviously not going too well at the rate of what I'm spending on. Haha.

So when will I receive my first paycheck?!

Patience is virtue. I am really understanding that.

Eventful week and pretty pics made my week super wonderful! =)

Work has been going pretty smooth for the past week. Managed to clinch 3 appointments for next week! Haha. Actually I think I dedicated only a few hours each day to work, and I'm not even talking about working from monday to friday. I took it a bit slow for this week, but I guess I made some "quality" effort, and I hope to see MORE results as time goes by! =)

Other than work, it's been pretty eventful. And after a short hiatus, I took so many pics for the past few days! Haha. You can go check them out at my facebook account.

Well, here's a few..

Celebrating our 2nd anniversary together with dearie at The Jewel Box, Mount Faber. Went for sky dining. And I am so glad it went well. What a splendid lovely night! =)

Happy 2 yrs, dearie bun! =)=)=)

On another note, went out with Daniel today. Went Plaza Singapura to sign up for jazz piano group course at Yamaha Music School. Just checked out this great deal last week and I was tempted to further my piano playing skills! Somemore the fees quite worth it! $107/month for four hourly sessions. Much cheaper than my previous course at PlayByEar, which was $180/month for four 45-min sessions lo. Haha.. This course is newly started by Yamaha.. And I spoke to the teacher before. He has a rather impressive profile. Can't wait to start the first lesson next week!

After that, had dinner at Xin Wang Hongkong Cafe to which Daniel said he felt "dumb" and cheated cos the noodles are maggie-mee la. His comments? "I can cook these too. My mum cooked much nicer." XD Hahaha. I ordered some noodles in papaya soup. Maggie mee too la, but I thought the soup was pretty nice, plus really have papaya slices in the soup! Quite nice la.

After dinner, went to somerset area. I wanted to check out some clothes since it's the GSS now. Headed to Collage @ Cineleisure. Guess who I saw?! My cousin Yee Yong working in the shop! Quite surprised when he suddenly appeared and said "50% discount for the shirts". Haha. I bought one black shirt which I thought was really really nice. And I bought a pair of grey shorts. Shorter than my other berms I had la. But I really like the design and cutting of the clothings there. And somemore at half price now! I got both for $79! Heh.

Oh ya, and I just got another tuition assigment @ Lim Chu Kang area. They stated there that the place not accessible by public transport. So only tutors with own transport need apply. Apparently, no one applied. Teaching Sec 4N chinese and Sec 2 chinese. Two boys together. $35/hr. Not bad la, right? Hahaha.

Alright, have many more pictures to upload. Took MANY photos at West Coast Park last night. Really cool pics. Gonna post it in my facebook page soon. Haha.

And I'm going for a business appointment tomorrow. Hopefully, it all turns out well!

Here's to a great week ahead Chao!!!

And have a great week too, guys! ^^
