How wonderful it is..
Been some time since I last blogged! Seems like the updates are getting slower. Is anyone still dropping by to read once in a while? If so, tag and let me know k!
So anyway, Vday just passed. Had a simple yet special valentine's day this year round. Didn't plan much, unlike last year's. However, dearie and me spent valentine's together with qy and her bf. So it's like a double valentine's date, which I think was really cool. Haha. We had this nice cosy dinner at Clarke Quay Central's Manhattan Fish Market. It was a valentine's day set menu, and the seafood platter for two was really great! I would post the pics up next time if I get them ya. But anyway. You could have guessed. A simple evening out on a special day. After dinner, we just went around taking tons of photos. In fact, I like the feeling of a simple dinner and walk. Sometimes, simplicity works wonders. =)

On a different note, I have just watched 2 widely acclaimed movies, namely Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. And wow! Both were excellent movies, I have to say! Really. Slumdog Millionaire was really quite a refreshing piece. Being set in India, it was really rare to see such a movie on the big screen. However, it had a very promising plot to start off with. A really original script. And the cinematography was just amazing!!! Danny Boyle really did a good job as a director in this movie. He deserved the Golden Globe.
On the other hand, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a really quaint and charming piece. Brad Pitt was the main character but it was the expressions in his eyes that stole the limelight in this unusual story. Based on a novel itself, it was really quite moving. I thought it had some rather emotional moments in it as well. Although it felt a bit 'draggy' due to the fact that it lasted for nearly 3 hours, it was all worthwhile when you know that you only paid $6 for a student price ticket for a near-3-hour show! Haha. Heard this movie has already garnered a lot of Academy award nods. Guess it could be a tough fight at the Oscars between this and Slumdog Millionaire.

I met Simon yesterday in an impromptu fashion. Haha. Yeah, after the movie, we had a long chat. Thanks for hearing me out pal. I guess I really did confide quite a bit to you. I hope you were not taken aback by my 'confessions'. Haha. Thanks for the sound advices. I would especially remember what you said about not wasting even a minute. That really did spur me for a moment. Whatever it is, it's glad to know that at least there are still true friends around who's willing to listen. =)
And to my dearie bun, sorry for what hurting you again with what I said. You know I didn't mean it. But somehow I lied when I said no one understands me. I think you really do. =)
