Hey hey, I'm back to blog about my weekend happenings! And this weekend was indeed rather happening. Went to this community club youth event organised by peng's sis at Ark Cafe on Saturday. I've heard of Ark Cafe as some sort cafe with a stage for live singing but haven't been there before. So I decided to go. And I was so glad I did. Haha. Went there with my dearie.
When we were at the door entrance, we paid $5 for a ticket that includes free flow of drinks, which was quite a deal. And each ticket was eligible for their lucky draw. My ticket was 087 while dearie's was 088. Initially I didn't think much about it. Then I heard peng saying the first prize is a PSP. Haha. Ok, I mean I know the trend of the PSP craze nowadays but didn't really bother to follow it cos I'm not a game addict anyway. I mean now. But I was joking with dearie that the prize belonged to me and stuff like that. They have the lucky draw for 20 prizes. And the 11th to 20th prizes were all 10 bucks Popular vouchers I think. I further on joked that they were leaving the last grand prize for me. When it got to the first 3 prizes, a lot of the 80 series numbers were already picked for those other scrimpy prizes. So it was probably left only dearie and me and maybe some other chap out there. But the thing was, I was very excited when I heard the emcee saying whose ticket starts with an 8. And that was for the grand prize. I shyly or humbly raised up my hand a little. And he asked us to shout out our numbers. Dearie did the job for me by shouting my number. So here's the result.
I got it! =D Honestly I wasn't like on cloud nine or what. Just pleasantly surprised that's all. It was quite a catch though.
After that we went on singing ktv. The sound system was rather flawed that day so I was rather disappointed. So we carried on our own activity. And guess what was it?
Phototaking!!! =P Along with dearie, peng, his brother and deniece. It was just snaps and snaps of crazy phototaking. And it was cool!Alright, guess it was quite a blast. Gonna book in soon. The same old blues that you just had to go through each Sunday evening.. So army life for me now is more like eating, sleeping, reading, watching tv, eating sleeping, reading, watching tv, eating sleeping, reading, watching tv, and a bit of sketching, and thinking, and a lot of missing somebody.
For that, I will hang on. =)
